I'm incredibly proud to announce that there is now a singleplayer version of mpyoo working and in development, featuring full web UI support for singleplayer. It is not available yet, but will be released in the future.

✨ Introducing mpyooSP

When I set out to make mpyoo, I wanted to build a tool that made the scene creation process as easy as possible. If it isn't possible to do everything you want to do - it defeats the point of it being made in the first place.

During testing, a few testers let me know that games with large mod setups (e.g. large map mods, new locations) currently have performance issues on RageMP, which is the multiplayer mod mpyoo works on currently. On top of this, RageMP does not allow you to use any other singleplayer scripts (.asi, .dll) which you might be relying on for singleplayer modding.

At the start of making mpyoo, I was told it was difficult to get web UI working in singleplayer, and that only one other person had made a basic demo where they made an overlay of google.com. This is part of the reason I chose a multiplayer platform, because they all come with web UI support built-in. However, if they have all already done it, I knew that not only it is possible, but with enough persistence, it could be brought to singleplayer, too.

🚀 Going beyond Menyoo’s limits

For many years now, Menyoo has been the best tool for interacting with GTA V to setup scenes and create content. In recent years, Menyoo photo creation went from a small hobby, to a massive community with many Discords being made to create custom-made mods for Menyoo users.

Menyoo would not be as popular as it is already if it wasn’t a great tool - however, there’s a few problems & difficulties all Menyoo users are familiar with:

🚫 Menyoo’s limits

  1. Major updates break Scripthook, Menyoo, and the rest of your mods.
    1. Needing to wait approx a week for a new Scripthook update, or downgrading, and then needing to fix all your mods.
  2. Certain tasks take a lot of time, entering & exiting many menus to do:
    1. Searching, finding & previewing animations.
    2. Positioning & rotating characters, animations, & objects.
    3. Navigating between various menus and different options in Menyoo.
    4. Setting up characters to look in certain directions takes multiple steps with the Task Sequencer + Object Spooner.
  3. Needing to exit the main game to load Rockstar Editor to setup paused poses for photos.
    1. Also making sure you remember to delete all peds/objects nearby before doing so!
  4. Various patches are needed to get the game working (packfile limit adjuster, heap limit adjuster, gameconfig, resource adjuster & more).

🤯 Imagine if…
